Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Group

7 Week Program • Starting May 13, 2026

Struggling with intense emotions, trauma triggers, relationship difficulties, or feeling overwhelmed? You don’t need to know what DBT is to benefit from it. Our supportive online group teaches practical tools that help you feel more in control.

In addition to In-Person Individual and Group DBT Counseling, Advanced Counseling and Research Services offers Online Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Groups led by Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist Cady Monasmith.
  • Our DBT Group is structured to teach important concepts and skills.
  • This group will be open to both male and female identifying adults (18 and older).
  • Group will be one hour sessions every other Thursday from 10:00AM - 11:00AM EST beginning 5/13/26 through 7/01/26 and will run for 7 sessions.
  • Course Content by Week:
    • Week 1 - DBT House and Assumptions
    • Week 2 - Mindfulness: Core Skills
    • Week 3 - IE: Dialectics 
    • Week 4 - Biosocial Theory 
    • Week 5 - Emotion Regulation: Opposite Action
    • Week 6 - Distress Tolerance: Radical Acceptance/Willingness
    • Week 7 - Behavioral Chain Analysis
