Practiced in artistic expressionism, specifically dance and other performing arts.
Cady R. Monasmith provides individual and group therapy to young adults through older adult clients. Cady integrates expressive arts and evidence-based therapeutic practices. Cady emphasizes change and choice through therapeutic practices, awakening the conscious, exploring the past to bridge client’s experiences to their present self. Cady has helped her clients reconnect to their authentic self by finding compassion, self-acceptance, and a sense of freedom and inner strength. This connection reintegrates the physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual aspects into the client’s new narrative.
Cady is trained in trauma-informed care as a clinical trauma professional, expressive arts therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and mindfulness-based stress reduction.
Cady has a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Counseling from Alvernia University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Performance from Temple University. Cady is a licensed clinician in Pennsylvania.
