Good Faith Estimate (GFE)

You are entitle to a Good Faith Estimate which is referred to as a GFE. A Good Faith Estimate is a document that provides patients with an estimate of the expected charges for medical services or items before they receive care. This requirement was established under the No Surprises Act, which aims to protect patients from unexpected medical bills, particularly in situations where they may not have control over the providers they see. The GFE also allows you to compare fees to competing Trauma and PTSD treatment providers. Advanced Counseling and Research Services fully complies with GFE requirements.

CANCELLATION / MISSED APPOINTMENT / LATE ARRIVAL POLICY & FEES

All scheduled sessions must be canceled at least 24 business hours in advance by telephone. If the session is canceled in less than 24 business hours, a fee will be charged. (This does not apply to situations that the clinician deems emergency in nature).

Business hours start Monday at 9:00 AM and end on Friday at 4:00 PM.

Any appointments scheduled for a Monday MUST be canceled the previous Friday before 4:00 PM or it will be considered a late cancellation and a fee will be charged. This also applies to Tuesday appointments after a Monday holiday when the office is closed.

Late arrivals past the 10 minute mark are considered "Missed" appointments and will be charged a fee.

If no communication is given and the client does not show up for their appointment, it is considered a "No Call, No Show" and will be charged a fee.

If a client joins their Telehealth call while driving, the therapist will immediately disengage from the call and a cancellation fee will be charged.

If a client is using an EAP and is a No Call No Show, they will be immediately discharged.

These fees also apply to pro-bono clients.

Fees are as follows: Licensed Therapist $150 / Professional Counselor $75 / Master Level Intern $50

Responsibility for Payment

  • Clients are responsible for payment of services when services are rendered except in situations where third-party benefits are approved and forthcoming.
  • As an approved provider for some insurance plans, the therapist has entered into agreements for rate levels that may be different from the posted fee-for-services. In situations such as these, the client is responsible for only the co-payment determined by the insurance plan.
  • Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate the financial situation of individual clients. Contractual payment plans are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Third Party Biller

ACRS uses a Third Party Billing Company to submit claims to insurances as well as the payments of copays, deductibles, and coinsurance.

ProHealth Billing Solutions is a Pennsylvania-based medical billing service that has been providing medical billing to physicians in the Lancaster, Carlisle, Camp Hill, and York areas for over a decade. We have a proven track record of results for over twenty years.
